A bizarre video circulating on social media in Puerto Rico purportedly shows the remains of a 'gargoyle' that allegedly tormented a town this past summer. Tales of a mysterious flying creature, theorized by some to be a chupacabras, feasting on chickens and roosters in the town of Barceloneta made headlines back in August. Bolstered by a pair of witnesses who said that they spotted this winged oddity led to the beast, dubbed the 'Gargola de Barceloneta,' becoming something of a brief sensation on the island.
Although the attacks in the town came to an end shortly thereafter without any resolution to the mystery, a new video that reportedly appeared online last week has given new life to the story by way of a strange showcase of what is said to be the gargoyle's remains. In the footage, a group of unnamed individuals stand around a large plastic container and remove various animal bones which they claim were found inside of a cave near Barceloneta.
The video peaks, so to speak, with the unveiling of a skull which the people in the video contend is that of the infamous gargoyle. Although the remains in question seem to resemble pig bones, one individual in the footage argues that could not be the case due to the position of the ears. The footage also features a number of smaller skulls which they suggest could be the gargoyle's offspring that somehow met an untimely end.
Unfortunately, since the video was posted by an anonymous group at an undisclosed location, unless the bones surface for specialists to look at or more details emerge, it seems that their true nature may remain a matter of speculation. That said, one thing that does appear to be beyond debate, which a local media report also noted, is that the people in the video probably shouldn't have been handling a bunch of dead animals, supernatural or not, with their bare hands.
