At a private event Monday night in Philadelphia, former US Army counterintelligence specialist, Luis Elizondo, revealed a photograph from Romania taken in 2022 that some are calling a UFO "mothership." The image was compared to the huge craft in "Close Encounters of the Third Kind," a kind of "mini-city floating in the sky."
While Elizondo conceded that the photo could represent an "atmospheric anomaly," he noted that many pilots have reported seeing such motherships in the skies. Meanwhile, researcher John Greenewald, Jr. of the Black Vault tracked down the image and believes it was likely created by a window reflection of an indoor overhead light fixture, a conclusion also shared in the above video from Patrick Scott Armstrong of the Vetted podcast.
11/3/24 update: In a post on X, Elizondo conceded that the photo he'd shown at the Philadelphia event was not a mothership after all. "Looks like we can put this one bed," he wrote. "Excellent work to whoever solved this one and a big thank you! Crowdsourcing works."
