A woman in London was left scratching her head when she spotted a weird flashing light emanating from the famed Thames River and no one is quite sure what might be behind the eerie glow. The strange illumination was reportedly captured on film by witness Juliana Asayevich, who subsequently shared the footage on a local Facebook group in the hopes of finding out what could be causing the submerged strangeness. In the very odd video, a sizeable light can be seen flashing from beneath the surface of the water at a position seemingly near the center of the river.
As one might imagine, Asayevich's footage prompted all manner of fantastic theories from people online. Some observers theorized that the light could be coming from a submarine lurking in the river, while more imaginative individuals offered an extraterrestrial explanation. Among the more prosaic possibilities put forward for the source of the illumination were a traffic beacon or possibly a bicycle, although those suggestions are somewhat hard to fathom given the location of the light.
