The proprietor of a preschool in New Orleans was left scratching her head when she spotted a mysterious "serpent-like creature" swimming in a lagoon at a park. According to a local media report, the puzzling sighting occurred earlier this month as Kim Frusciante was visiting the New Orleans City Park with her family. The trip took a strange turn when she noticed the proverbial New Orleans Nessie emerge from the waters of a lagoon in the park's Sculpture Garden. "It's nothing I've ever seen before on land or in sea," Frusciante marveled, noting that "my children were a combination of terrified and excited" by the sight of the 'monster.'
Describing the unidentified creature as being "much longer than a normal fish," she recalled that it sported "a lot of scales" as well as a red tail and "was swishing around aimlessly hanging out on the surface" of the water. Fortunately, Frusciante filmed the oddity with her cell phone and subsequently posted the footage on the Instagram page of the preschool that she founded. Viewers online offered an array of suggestions for what the 'monster' might have been with the most prevalent suggestion being that it was merely a carp. This was echoed by officials at the New Orleans Park, who indicated that they will investigate the matter just to be sure.
