A family in Maryland say that mysterious drones have been hovering over their home on a nightly basis for the last few months and they have no idea why the craft area have seemingly targeted them. According to a local media report, the curious case is currently unfolding above the property of John and Bucheimer in the state's Washington County. The presence of the puzzling drones first came to the couple's attention after a neighbor alerted them to the odd craft seen in the sky over the area. In response, John recalls, he began keeping an eye out for the unmanned aerial vehicles and "sure enough, we saw a bunch" of the objects.
Ever since that time, the couple says, the drones have eerily visited their home every night to circle the residence from above and, it would seem, the craft have become increasingly brazen. On one particularly unsettling occasion, it appeared as though the UAV had noticed them watching it as it stopped and then flew towards them. Another unnerving incident, John recalled, saw a drone "peek in the window." Conceding that they are mystified over the question of why the craft have taken such an interest in their home, the couple are understandably uneasy about the situation and feel that their privacy is being invaded.
Strangely, the couple say that they have actually figured out where the drones are coming from: a nearby property registered as belonging to the United States government. However, their attempts to resolve the matter have proven to be rather maddening as the Federal Aviation Administration told them to contact their local sheriff, who instructing them to report the situation to the FAA. Meanwhile, additional layer of intrigue came about when local TV station visited the couple's home and, during that time, a Navy jumbo-jet was spotted flying low over the residence, which was a first for the Bucheimers throughout the odd ordeal.
When contacted about that incident, the Navy simply indicated that they had conducted a low-altitude flight as part of a mission "crucial to national security." To that end, believing that there must be some logical reason for why the government would be flying these aircraft over the area, the couple say that they would be willing to put up with the presence of the drones if they could at least be informed about why they are there. "Give us some information," Amy called upon the authorities, "don't leave us hanging." What do you think the drones are doing flying over the Bucheimers' home?
