A couple in Florida were left scratching their heads when they spotted a curious cluster of lights hovering silently in the night sky. According to a local media report, Matt Krauss and his wife experienced the intriguing sighting last Wednesday evening in the coastal city of Naples. Initially, the pair noticed one very bright object out over the water, but things quickly took a strange turn. "New lights appeared near it and they got very, very bright at that point," Krauss recalled, "there were four of them and they kind of moved in different directions." Puzzled by what they were seeing, the couple managed to snap a few photographs of the odd UFO cluster and are still wondering what exactly they witnessed.
"What I can't explain is why they were so bright," Krauss mused, noting that he was also puzzled by how "one of them was stationary for 15 minutes." Attempts to get to the bottom of the mystery by way of the area authorities proved futile as the nearby Southwest Florida International Airport and the FAA were unable to provide any answers as to what the couple could have seen, while the Naples Airport Authority simply said that nothing unusual was spotted on radar and theorized that perhaps the objects were lanterns. This particular explanation did not hold water with Krauss, who posited that "the random movement is kind of what convinced me they weren’t something like Chinese lanterns that were being blown by the wind."
Be that as it may, since the couple only photographed the objects rather than film them, it's difficult to discern what they could have encountered. Aside from the fantastic scenario wherein Krauss and his wife watched an armada of alien ships, more prosaic explanations for the sighting include some kind of military exercise, possibly involving flares, or drones. That said, the precise nature of the anomalous lights remains a mystery. With that in mind, what do you think the couple photographed off the coast of Florida?
