Video: Paranormal Activity Filmed at Wyoming Jail?

By Tim Binnall

A peculiar piece of footage from a Wyoming jail shows possible paranormal activity in the form of a soda can eerily moving on its own. The spooky scene was shared on social media late last month by the Sweetwater County Sheriff's Office, which marveled that their staff "are used to unexpected moments on the job, but not like this." In the footage (featured below), a deputy can be seen sitting at the detention center's booking desk when his work is interrupted by "a soda can that suddenly and inexplicably slid several inches across the table toward him." The officer's attention is immediately drawn to the weird movement as he stares down the beverage seemingly wondering what had just happened.

To that end, the sheriff's office indicated they were mystified by the sliding soda as there were "no bumps, no drafts, [and] no logical explanation" for what had happened. Noting that the detention center is not particularly "old by historical standards," the jail has been the site of some "similar strange occurrences" in the past wherein staff were later led to wonder if perhaps the building was haunted. As one might imagine, the sheriff's office received quite a bit of feedback on the footage from their social media followers with some agreeing that the incident may have been paranormal in nature. Others, however, argued that the can could have moved due to condensation or the ground vibrating due to traffic outside the jail.
