Residents of an Indonesian island were aghast when the massive carcass of an unidentified sea creature appeared on their shore.
The revolting blob, which is believed to measure a whopping 50 feet long, dwarfed a pair of bewildered onlookers when they ventured into the water to examine it.
In fact, the creature's remains were so befuddling and big that the man who discovered it in the waters off of Seram Island initially thought the carcass was an overturned boat.
Authorities are currently testing the remains to determine what, exactly, it once was, with the prevalent theory being a giant squid.
While the jaw-dropping monstrosity has been drawing plenty of attention from villagers wanting to catch a glimpse of the oddity, many residents simply want someone to come and remove it, since its gruesomeness of its appearance is apparently only exceeded by its smell.
