Security camera footage from a Nashville garden center shows the business being burglarized by a rather unusual suspect: a creepy clown. According to a local media report, the weird incident occurred last week at JVI Secret Gardens in the city's Donelson neighborhood. Long after the shop had closed for the night, owner Derek Johnson's business partner informed him that their security system had detected a strange intruder and that "you need to get up there right now." However, when he checked the footage of the unfolding break-in and saw that the interloper was a creepy clown, Johnson understandably pumped the proverbial breaks on heading over to the business.
"“I said, ‘Nope, I’m not going up there,'" the garden center owner later recounted to a local TV station. Instead, Johnson activated the camera's speaker and tried to talk to the burglar, whom he likened to the infamous Pennywise character. In doing so, the creepy clown realized that he had been spotted, which led the sticky-fingered miscreant to flee the scene. When Johnson later arrived at the shop, he discovered that the haunting harlequin had tried to steal a propane tank and, oddly enough, a single saw blade, though the caper fell apart thanks to the security camera catching him in action.
