Residents of a village in Colombia were left scratching their heads and a bit unsettled following the discovery of the strange remains of a mysterious creature that some suspect could be a chupacabras. According to a local media source, the bizarre find was made by a teenager in the community of La Sierra last week when he was visiting the home of his aunt. Initially thinking that the gruesome discovery was that of a dead dog, the youngster was taken aback when he got a closer look at the creature and couldn't quite identify the 'monster.'
Fortunately for fans of odd mystery animals, the teen managed to snap a number of pictures of the remains and, indeed, they are quite puzzling. One resident of the village who examined the creature said that it appeared measure around 27 inches long and seemed to sport "a fox head and gorilla hands." And, as can be seen in the images of the beast, it also looks to have a rather menacing looking set of teeth.
As to what the creature could have been, experts who have looked at the photos say that it is probably merely a possum. However, not everyone in the village is convinced. Having lost a number of barnyard animals to a mysterious predator in recent weeks, many residents were left wondering if this beast could have been a chupacabras that was attacking their livestock. Assuming that it is not the famed 'goat sucker,' what's your best theory for the nature of the creature? Let us know at the Coast to Coast AM Facebook page.
