Video: Strange 'Starfish' Crop Formation Appears Near Stonehenge

By Tim Binnall

A rather strange 'starfish' crop formation was recently found just a few hundred feet away from the famed Stonehenge monument. The wondrous design, showcased in the drone video above, was reportedly discovered on June 30th across the street from the Stonehenge Visitor Centre in the community of Salisbury. Unlike a classic crop circle, the curious formation consists of five equally distributed 'tentacles' comprised of alternating half-circles and emanating outward from a central point similar to a starfish.

As for how the 'crop circle' is being interpreted by fans of the mysterious phenomenon, some have likened it to the alien language from the film Arrival, while others have suggested that it is a warning about a fiery star heading in the direction of the Earth. Of course, in this instance, the location of the formation is as intriguing as the design itself. One can only wonder if there is some kind of Stonehenge connection being conveyed by its creators.

To that end, skeptical observers will undoubtedly attribute the piece to creative humans rather than otherworldly visitors. That said, if people did produce the piece, they would have to be particularly brave to set up their proverbial crop circle-making shop a mere 500 feet away from the iconic monument that was recently targeted by protestors and is presumably under tighter security than ever. Another possible scenario is that the design was secretly commissioned by the visitor center as something of a publicity campaign to kick off the summer tourist season.
