A California motorist found themselves with a considerable case of bad luck when they crashed their car into a home, which set off an attack by an angry swarm of bees living at the residence. The odd incident occurred on Sunday afternoon in the community of Buena Park. Sharing a video of the strange scene on social media, the city's police department explained that the situation started when the unnamed driver careened into the corner of the home. Although "nobody was hurt in the collision," they wrote, the motorist's troubles had only just begun as the crash disrupted a bee hive at the house and its "occupants were not pleased."
While attempting to get their wits about them in the immediate aftermath of the crash, the motorist was undoubtedly taken aback when they were subsequently swarmed by the understandably upset bees. "They savagely attacked the driver, who was taken to the hospital with a few stings," recalled the department. They went on to indicate that the city's fire department was able to eventually calm the creatures down by spraying them "with some soap and water."
