Video: Teen with 'Werewolf Syndrome' sets Record for Hairiest Face

By Alec Fernandes

Guinness World Records has recognized Lalit Patidar's exceptional case of hypertrichosis — a condition so uncommon, it's only been documented 50 times since the Middle Ages. The teen from India has over 200 hair follicles per square inch on 90 percent of his face, giving him thicker locks than any other known case of "werewolf syndrome".

Patidar travelled to a specialist in Milan who shaved small patches of hair to measure its density. In response to winning Hairiest Face, he told Guinness World Records how some have suggested he undergo hair removal treatments, but he has no plans to do so. "I like how I am, and I don't want to change my look," Patidar said. The 18-year-old student shares his daily life with hundreds of thousands of followers on Instagram and YouTube.
