A California woman is in hot water with the law following a bizarre incident wherein a young boy fell from the back of a horse after she allegedly yanked on the animal's tail as the youngster was enjoying a pony ride. The strange scene, which was captured on video and subsequently went viral on social media, reportedly occurred late last month during an event at the Thornton Beach Recreation Area in Daly City. As Meri Fuerte's son was enjoying a pony ride organized by Ocean View Stables, the fun-filled afternoon took an unfortunate turn when a woman crept up behind the horse and pulled on its tail, causing the animal to buck, which sent the youngster spilling to the ground.

"It was a very odd circumstance," Caroline Reed of Ocean View Stables mused "you wouldn't think anyone would walk up to a horse and just yank its tail. That's not really the normal thing for someone to do around an animal like that." While the woman initially managed to flee the scene before police arrived to respond to the incident, her online infamy may have been her undoing. After the footage spread like wildfire online, authorities identified Tomasa Panjojleon as the individual allegedly seen yanking on the horse's tail in the viral video. She has since been arrested and charged with endangering a child.
