Inspired by last weekend's epic search for the Loch Ness Monster, a woman in Scotland has revealed fantastic images of a mysterious creature that she photographed at the iconic site five years ago. The remarkable pictures (seen in the video above and isolated below) were reportedly snapped by Chie Kelly during a visit to the location with her family back in August of 2018. "I was just taking pictures with my Canon camera," she recalled, "when about 200 meters from the shore, moving right to left at a steady speed was this creature." Kelly went on to describe how "it was spinning and rolling at times" and eventually vanished back into Loch Ness after "a couple minutes"
Looking back on her sighting, Kelly indicated that she initially suspected that the creature could have been an otter or a seal, but noted that "we never saw a head and it never came up again for air." Since it seems that only a portion of the oddity popped up out of the water, she conceded that "could not accurately assess" it size, but observed that what was visible appeared to be less that six feet in length. Mystified by the experience, Kelly mused that "I don't know what it was but it was definitely a creature." Amazingly, the astounded witness says that she actually kept her photos a secret for the last five years because "I did not want to face public ridicule."
Her feelings about the possible fallout from the pictures changed last weekend when Kelly took part in the massive search for the monster at Loch Ness. During the event, she shared the images with seasoned Nessie hunter Steve Feltham, who was amazed at their clarity and marveled that they are "the most exciting surface pictures" of the suspected 'monster' that he has ever seen. Calling Kelly and her family "absolutely genuine," the researcher ultimately "persuaded them that these pictures were so important, they should make them public," which they thankfully did.
