A peculiar piece of drone footage circulating online purportedly shows a Bigfoot walking through a snowy forest in Vermont, but it would appear that the fantastic scene was likely a clever hoax. The video first appeared online back in early December when it was posted by the YouTube account Kens Karpentry. The footage seemingly went largely unnoticed until it was shared on TikTok this past weekend by a user who declared that "I firmly believe that it's one of the best recordings of what looks to be a Bigfoot caught on camera."
In the video, Ken takes his viewers to a spot near his home known as Bear Hollow Road in the hopes of spotting one of the eponymous creatures in the wild. Deploying a drone to look down into the snowy forest, the YouTuber is quickly astounded when the UAV catches sight of a large, hairy bipedal creature stalking through the woods. "What in the world," Ken exclaims as he watches the weird animal walking below the drone, "what is that? That's incredible."
As one might imagine, when the video was shared on TikTok over the weekend, it spread like wildfire and sparked considerable discussion with many people marveling at the clarity of the suspected Sasquatch footage, while others argued that it was a hoax. Alas, in this instance, the skeptics are most likely correct as the original video posted on YouTube clearly states in the title that the scene is "not real." Since it's highly unlikely that someone would disavow such an incredible piece of footage if it were genuine, we're inclined to take Ken at his word and assume that the 'Bigfoot' seen in the video is probably one of his friends wearing a Sasquatch costume.
