An Argentine woman recently captured footage of a bizarre orb that floated over the top of a lake and seemingly sported a mouth. The witness, identified as Lorena, reportedly spotted the weird object last week when she was standing on the shore of Lake Nahuel Huapi and noticed the anomaly as it "rose from the surface of the water" to a height of what she estimated to be around ten feet." To her surprise, the object then floated across the top of the lake and, in the process, revealed what appeared to be a mouth that opened and closed as it moved. Since the peculiar anomaly was hovering over the water, Lorena insisted that it could not have been a boat, though ultimately mused that "it's a weird thing we can't figure out."
To that end, viewers online have offered various theories as to the nature of the object with some suggesting it is a UFO, while others speculated that it could be a ghost. Adding another paranormal layer to the puzzle, the location of the sighting is said to be the home of the legendary Argentine lake monster Nahuelito, which has led some online to posit that the creature could be the curiosity seen in the footage. That said, more skeptical observers argue that the oddity is some kind of meteorological phenomenon or optical illusion.
