Watch: Brazen Bandits Fake Seizure to Pull Off Bizarre Bulldog Heist at Colorado Pet Store

By Tim Binnall

A group of brazen miscreants pulled off a bizarre heist at a Colorado pet store wherein one of the ne'er-do-wells faked having a seizure as an accomplice stole two bulldog puppies. According to a local media report, the audacious caper occurred on Sunday afternoon in the community of Centennial. In the wild scene, which was captured by the pet store's security system, two men can be seen standing at the register when one of them suddenly falls to the ground. Believing that the faux customer was having a seizure, employees and bystanders understandably directed their attention to the distressing situation, which allowed his companion to enact the next step in their devious plan.

With everyone in the store distracted, the second suspect slowly crept over to an enclosure containing some bulldog puppies and swiftly snatched two of the animals. Fortunately, his bold maneuver was noticed by one employee who first told him to stop and then bravely grabbed his jacket as he tried to flee the scene. When a second worker also attempted to thwart the unfolding theft, the man stumbled and dropped the two dogs before scooping them up as he ultimately escaped. While the employees commendably chased after puppy pilferer, he managed to get away when they jumped into a waiting car.

Cops have since apprehended the man who allegedly faked the medical episode and are currently in pursuit of two additional individuals believed to be involved in the crime. As for the fate of the pair of puppies, fortunately, one of the dogs has already made its way back to the store thanks to a person who reportedly said they purchased the animal from a street vendor and then realized it was stolen after seeing a story about the heist on the news. One can only hope that the other pilfered puppy will find similar good fortune and be reunited with its pet store pals sooner rather than later.
