A bus driver in Singapore was left unsettled when his security monitor showed what seemed to be a passenger on the upper deck of the otherwise empty vehicle and, when he went to investigate the situation, the ghostly figure was nowhere to be found. The eerie incident reportedly occurred last Friday morning at a bus depot as the man was finishing his overnight shift. Although the security system on the bus indicated that there were no passengers aboard the vehicle at that time, the driver was understandably taken aback when he looked at the screen and saw a dark figure sitting in one of the seats.
Capturing the confounding moment on video (seen above), the man films the security monitor and muses "it’s too early for something supernatural to happen. How can there be someone upstairs?" The bus driver then proceeds to the upper deck of the vehicle to confront the mysterious stranger, but quickly realizes that there is no one there. Irritated by the suspected paranormal passenger, the man is said to have cursed at the lingering spirit and ordered it to leave the vehicle so that he could finish up his work for the day.
The spooky video went viral on social media in Singapore and sparked something of a debate among viewers as to the veracity of the footage. One woman indicated that she believed the ghostly encounter to be genuine as her husband works at the bus depot where the strange sighting occurred and has shared similar stories with her in the past. More skeptical individuals, however, argued that the 'apparition' was either a camera glitch or the bus driver crafted a clever hoax by filming old footage on the security monitor and then pretended to be scared.
