A police department in Mexico wound up going viral after they arrested a man for allegedly threatening people with a Chucky doll and, in the process, also took the toy into custody by slapping their cuffs on it. The weird incident reportedly occurred last week in the community of Monclova when cops received word of an intoxicated individual who was menacing people in the town square. The miscreant in question, later identified as simply Carlos N, had apparently been approaching strangers, thrusting a sizeable Chucky doll in their faces as if the toy was possessed, and demanding money from them. Making his actions all the most unnerving was that the figurine was carrying an actual knife.
Fortunately, a man toting around a knife-wielding Chucky doll was not all that hard to find and cops quickly arrested Carlos and brought him back to the station along with his 'accomplice.' He was subsequently charged with disturbing the peace and illegally asking for money, though the ne'er-do-well only spent a night in jail and is likely to receive a proverbial slap on the wrist for the misadventure. Meanwhile, in a strange twist to an already odd story, the officer who made the arrest was actually sanctioned by her superiors for not taking her job seriously when she put the Chucky doll in handcuffs and posed with the toy at the urging of amused reporters covering the bust.
