An intriguing video posted online this week purportedly shows a couple encountering what they believe to be a Bigfoot as they were driving along a dark road in the mountains of Utah. As is often the case with possible footage of the famed cryptid, details surrounding the sighting are scant at best, with the identity of the witnesses as well as the precise location and date of the incident unknown at this time. Alas, the only information available about the video is that it was allegedly filmed "recently in Utah."
Murky origins aside, the footage is fairly fantastic as far as Bigfoot videos are concerned, since it features what seems to be a genuine reaction from the witnesses and a pretty good look at whatever it was that caught their attention. To that end, in the video, it would appear that the couple had already seen something odd a woman can be heard seemingly guiding the driver a car along the road, saying "around this corner, I think" as if she is looking for something.
Suddenly, as the car ambles along, they pass something on the side of the road and she exclaims "oh, look! Right there! Right there!" After her companion confirms that he also just saw something strange, she tells him to back the car up, presumably to get a better look at the oddity. A subsequent snippet of the footage shows what looks like a bipedal creature of some kind standing between two trees and illuminated by the headlights of the car.
Aside from the possibility that the video is a clever hoax, the prime suspects for the mysterious roadside anomaly are Sasquatch, of course, or a bear. Should it be the legendary cryptid, cynical skeptics will no doubt be delighted to know that Bigfoot lived up to its camera-shy reputation as very little detail can be discerned from what was captured on film, with the beast more or less being rendered a 'Blobsquatch.'
