A man with the unusual hobby of exploring and documenting abandoned mines claims to have recently captured some incredibly creepy sounds during one expedition.
The unnamed adventurer, who posts his work on YouTube, says that the strange incident occurred when he ventured into a 150-year-old gold mine in Australia.
As if going into a derelict mine was not spooky enough, the particular journey took place on a stormy night, which only added to the eerie nature of what the man allegedly filmed.
Near the end of the video, the man marvels at the size and condition of the wood used to construct the mine's interior and then suddenly hears a strange sound.
"Do you hear that," he asks, spinning the camera back around behind him, "is that wind?"
When he stops moving, an absolutely chilling sound which somewhat resembles people whispering can be heard.
"That's crazy," he observers, speculating that it could be coming from a bird or some snakes.
Listening further, the seasoned explorer seems shaken by the sounds and concludes that "I've heard some weird stuff in mines, but that is definitely creepy. I don't know what that is, so let's get out of here."
Although the footage is no doubt unsettling, one aspect of the video should be noted, since it calls into question the veracity of the event.
The explorer's video just so happens to double as an online review / ad for a flashlight, leading some skeptical viewers to suggest that the 'voices' were added to the footage to generate viewers.
While that very well may be the case, the recording is eerily reminiscent of the infamous 'Sounds of Hell' audio clip which has been a staple of C2C over the years, suggesting that just maybe the mine explorer stumbled onto something truly supernatural.
