Watch: Detroit Newscaster Spots UFO Live on Air

By Tim Binnall

A morning newscaster in Detroit did something of a double-take when she spotted a UFO cruising through the sky and then disappearing right after she mentioned the odd anomaly. The peculiar moment, seen below, occurred last Friday as the Fox 2 broadcast was about to take a commercial break. As anchor Erica Francis previewed an upcoming segment, the station showed a live view of the state's Mackinac Bridge where a weird glowing object could be seen moving across the sky. "What is that flying in the air," she wondered aloud, before concluding that "it's a UFO."

Remarkably, seconds later, the strange object vanished from sight, causing Francis to marvel "and now it disappeared!" The newscaster subsequently shared the odd sighting on social media and posited that the UFO probably had a prosaic explanation, such as a plane or a drone. That said, she also expressed amazement over the curious timing of the object's sudden disappearance after she had called attention to it. Interestingly, Francis was not the only newscaster to spot a UFO last Friday as an Oklahoma City meteorologist also noticed an aerial anomaly during a live broadcast that evening.
