An eerie piece of doorbell camera footage from England shows two women passing each other as they walk down the street and then one of them vanishes into thin air. The spooky scene reportedly unfolded earlier this month outside of a residence in Staffordshire as Jackie Batt was out for a morning stroll. After returning home, she received a message from her neighbor, Kerry-Anne Docherty, who indicated that her doorbell camera had just captured something rather unusual. In the footage, Batt can be seen crossing paths with a woman she described as "a lady dressed in 40s clothing." However, the mystified walker marveled, "I didn't see anyone. I would have remembered seeing her."
Making the video all the more odd, after Batt passed the seemingly out-of-time woman, the stranger subsequently grew extremely tall as if she had been stretched out before dematerializing altogether. Certain that she did not recall the weirdly dressed walker, she mused that it may have been a ghost from the neighborhood's distant past. "The building where we live was built in the 1940s for the miners at the time," Batt explained, "I can only assume it is a miner's wife."
While generally more skeptical of the paranormal, Docherty conceded that she cannot explain the spooky incident that has made her question her previous stance on high strangeness. As is custom in this day and age, the homeowner dutifully uploaded the footage to social media where people offered an array of theories on the mysterious vanishing walker. While some agreed with Batt's theory that the stranger was a spirit, others argued that the 'ghost' was merely a camera glitch. What do you make of the strange video?
