While filming on location in a forest, a Pakistani actor was left scratching his head when he stumbled upon a tree that sounded as if it were crying. The creepy scene was reportedly captured by Ahmed Ali Akbar during a shoot at a wooded trail in the city of Islamabad. "We experienced something bizarre," he recalled in a post on Instagram wherein he shared footage of the weird tree which he noted measured around "a foot and a half in diameter" and sported "a perfect hole the size of a coin." In the video, inexplicably emanating from that odd circular opening were what sound like the haunting cries of a child in distress.
Insisting that "what you hear and see is not fake," the actor had no explanation for the puzzling and "disturbing" noises coming from the tree. Akbar's footage quickly went viral in Pakistan with people on social media offering an array of suggestions for what he may have encountered. As one might imagine, many observers theorized that the eerie cries were paranormal in nature and that perhaps the tree was possessed by some kind of spirit. However, fellow Pakistani celebrity Anoushey Ashraf was seemingly able to solve the mystery as she explained that the sounds were the tree literally crying for help because it was suffering from "severe dehydration," which is a phenomenon that has actually been documented by scientists.
