A Welsh woman was left scratching her head when she filmed what appears to be a ghostly figure in the tunnels beneath a notoriously haunted castle. The spooky footage, which can be seen below, was reportedly captured by Emily Price last month as she and her husband were touring the country's iconic Cardiff Castle. While walking through the tunnels, which served as a shelter from air raids during World War II, she noticed that a speaker was playing a legendary speech from Neville Chamberlain wherein he announced Britain's entry into the conflict. Finding the moment particularly poignant, she pulled out her cell phone and began filming, but soon spotted something peculiar ahead of her in an adjoining passageway.
"It looked like a woman with no face," she later recalled, observing that the figure appeared to be "wearing a grey and white dress." Intrigued by what she had just seen, Price and her husband ventured to where the mysterious stranger had been, but found that the tunnel was empty. After exiting the underground area of the castle, they were doubly confounded when they saw no sign of any individual dressed in a manner that could account for the curious figure's appearance. In what one imagines was both a gratifying and unsettling experience, Price's attempts to dismiss the experience as merely a misunderstanding were dashed when she realized that the possible ghost sighting had inadvertently been captured on film.
Remarkably, Price notes that she is rather ardently skeptical of ghosts and, prior to her potential paranormal encounter, had been unaware of spooky stories of apparitions spotted specifically in the tunnels. It was only after she shared the footage to social media that a former tour guide at the site indicated that the eerie anomaly was akin to what witnesses have reported seeing in the passageways. While the experience did not entirely upend her perspective on the paranormal, Price conceded that "whatever it was I saw inside Cardiff Castle’s tunnels, it will stay with me forever."
