An eerie photograph taken at a notoriously haunted hotel in Texas appears to show the spirit of a young boy peering into a room. The chilling picture was reportedly snapped earlier this month by Jeremy Jones, who co-owns the Historic Jefferson Hotel in the community of Jefferson. Built over a century ago, the location has a long history of ghostly activity which, in recent years, has been dutifully documented by the current proprietors on their YouTube channel. The most recent incident, Jones marveled, caused him to realize that "everything here at the hotel that we've experienced so far, as far as the paranormal, has been real."
The spooky photo, he explained, was taken as he and his daughter were conducting an investigation in a previously sealed area of the attic known as a 'disappointment room.' Long ago, such spots were where families cruelly kept disabled children whom they wished to hide from the world. On this particular occasion, Jones and his daughter were attempting to communicate with any spirits that might be present in the room and he snapped a series of pictures with his cell phone. When they ooked at the images moments later, Jones recalls, they were stunned to see what he describes as "the craziest photo I've ever seen."
The image, which is isolated below, seems to show the face of a young boy looking back at ghosthunting duo from a doorway. Jones subsequently revisited the history of the hotel and realized that the family who lived there back in 1974 did, indeed, have a disabled child. While one cannot be certain that the young boy is the suspected spirit peering at them from the doorway, the circumstances surrounding the nature of the room certainly would seem to suggest that is the case.
