Watch: Ghost Child Filmed in Mexican Convenience Store?

By Tim Binnall

A spooky video that has gone viral on social media in Mexico purportedly shows a ghost child scurrying past the aisle of a convenience store in the dead of night. The eerie scene was reportedly said to have occurred at around 3 AM in an Oxxo in the city of Tuxtla Gutierrez. In the video, which has spread like wildfire since being posted to TikTok earlier this week, the tranquility of an empty aisle in the convenience store is suddenly shattered when a diminutive shadow figure emerges from behind a large pillar and scampers away.

The viral video has spawned an array of responses with some expressing unease at seeing what they believe to be a small spirit, while others have posited that the figure could possibly be a goblin. That said, more skeptical viewers argue that the scene was probably just a simple hoax that the witness pulled off using their son playing the role of the 'ghost child.' Since there is no way of confirming that the footage was filmed at 3 AM, that scenario is certainly plausible, especially since it is hard to fathom why someone would be filming an empty convenience store aisle in the first.
