A spooky piece of home security footage from Cornwall shows an eerie anomaly that a psychic medium contends is the ghost of a nurse who once worked in the neighborhood. The chilling video was reportedly captured last month by a camera watching over a set of steps leading to the second floor of Rob Williams' residence in the community of Launceston. As he was about to go to sleep one evening, he recalled, his motion-activated security system alerted him to a presence outside his home. Checking a live feed from the camera, Williams was taken aback by "what I thought was someone standing at the bottom of the stairs."
Initially thinking that the perceived person was "somebody drunk just standing there," his assessment changed when he realized that "it wasn't a solid figure." Williams' bewilderment was quickly compounded when the anomalous form suddenly vanished into thin air. "It proper freaked me out," he mused, observing that "it had the characteristics of a person. You can clearly see a head with a hat and the shape of a body but it was slightly transparent." The sighting so unsettled Williams that he actually wound up sleeping with the lights on that night and he later watched the video multiple times in an attempt to figure out what exactly the oddity could have been.
After posting the footage online, he may have gotten some answers by way of a self-described psychic medium, who contacted Williams with an explanation of what his security system had filmed. The woman revealed that the anomaly was the "very kind spirit" of a nurse who had once worked at a nearby hospital and, sadly, passed away from influenza. The psychic went on to indicate that the apparition remained at the bottom of the stairs because she did not wish to frighten Williams by getting any closer to his home. That said, more skeptical viewers will undoubtedly argue that the 'ghost' is merely a trick of light and shadow or perhaps a camera glitch.
