A couple in Tennessee fear that their home could be haunted following an eerie incident wherein their toddler was seemingly shoved by an unseen force. The unsettling event reportedly occurred earlier this month in the city of Elizabethton as Chris Geisler was keeping an eye on their son Gavin while his partner, Ashley Scott, was out grocery shopping. The normally routine bit of babysitting took a weird turn when he was watching the tot crawl along the floor and then saw the youngster suddenly lurch forward for no apparent reason. Gavin's reaction made the motion all the more odd as he immediately looked back as if to see what had just pushed him.
Confounded by the strange incident, which happened to be captured on video by their home security camera, Geisler promptly sent the video to Scott, who recalled that "I was just freaked out, I didn't know what to really think." Having reflected on Gavin's puzzling stumble, the mom now believes that the baby was likely pushed by some kind of spirit. "He was on all fours, on his hands and knees," she observed, "I don't think he lost his balance or anything, he's a very strong baby." Scott was particularly put off by the manner in which Gavin tried to find the source of the force. "You don't just look back like that naturally," she mused, "unless you expect something to be there."
Her suspicion that the tumble was caused by a ghost is undoubtedly due in part to possible paranormal activity which they have previously witnessed in their apartment. "We've experienced a few odd things in the home like noises and things like crashing," she explained, "and we can't explain what the crash was." Since the incidents were fairly innocuous, the pair had largely tried to ignore them, though Scott says that she is now concerned that the perceived presence in the house could wind up being a danger to the boy.
