Watch: 'Ghost Swing' Filmed at British Playground?

By Tim Binnall

A British woman was left unsettled last week when she took her dog for a walk at a nearby park and stumbled upon a solitary playground swing seemingly moving on its own. According to a local media report, the spooky scene was spotted last Tuesday afternoon when the witness, who opted to only use her first name Charlotte, brought her golden doodle Mabel to an area known as Corfe Mullen Wreck in the community of Dorset. "At first, it was a bit misty, but then I walked across the field and it got really misty to the point I couldn't see in front of me," she recalled, "so I headed back to my car and headed towards the park when my dog started acting weird."

As Charlotte and the golden doodle got near the park's playground, she noticed something particularly puzzling. "I saw this swing just keep swinging," she said, "there was no one in the park, no kids either, so it’s not as if someone had just jumped off and let it go." Standing there baffled by what she was seeing, Charlotte watched the inexplicable swaying motion for around 30 seconds and captured some of the strangeness with her cell phone before departing the scene since it made her understandably uneasy. That said, she marveled that "even after I left it was still swinging."

Looking back on the unnerving visit to the park, Charlotte now believes that Mabel's behavior that afternoon was her pet's way of indicating that something was amiss. "Normally, she runs off and wants to play, but instead she was by my side the whole time," she mused, "sometimes they say that animals can pick up these things. It was like she could feel something." What's your take on the weird footage? Did Charlotte and Mabel encounter a ghost child enjoying their own trip to the playground or does the swing's eerie movement have a more prosaic explanation?
