A perplexing video from a paranormal investigation in England shows the moment when a series of inexplicable booms shook a haunted fort and sent the unsettled ghost hunters running from the scene in fright. The wild incident reportedly occurred while a group of around a dozen spirit seekers were exploring a tunnel beneath a historic site known as Fort Widley in the city of Portsmouth. After tour leader Debbie McAll put out a proverbial call to any denizens of the 'other side' who might wish to make their presence felt, the ghost hunters seemingly received an answer that left them feeling rather uneasy as an eerie rumble swept through the tunnel.
"At first I thought it was thunder but the noise was too frequent," recalled ghost hunter Tony Ferguson, who was a part of the group and observed that "we had members of public with us and they looked terrified." The mysterious rumble was so powerful that it caused the walls of the tunnel to vibrate, he said, and everyone began to grow anxious as "it just sounded like bombs going off." Initially, the gathering remained where they were and pondered what it was that they had just experienced, but they soon suspected that something serious was unfolding as three more booms occurred in quick succession.
The series of sounds and the accompanying rumble through the tunnel was worrisome enough that McAll quickly decided that the group needed to exit the area immediately in case the underground chamber suddenly collapsed. Giving up the ghost hunt, the paranormal investigators took off running through the passageway beneath the famed fort until finally arriving at the surface, where they wound up becoming all the more confused as the sky was perfectly clear with no sign of any storm clouds which could account for the suspected thunder. Weirdly enough, they later tried to replicate the booms, but could not find any method which could shake the tunnel in a similar fashion. To that end, what do you make of the eerie incident?
