A pair of travelers in Argentina captured footage of a mysterious orb that they believe was a legendary sinister spirit known as the 'luz mala.' The eerie incident reportedly occurred last month as two women were driving down a remote road on the outskirts of the city of Santiago del Estero. "We were going to the country where my grandparents lived," one of the witnesses explained, when they suddenly spotted an inexplicable orb piercing the otherwise barren night sky.
After seemingly being chased by the light, the pair opted to stop their car to observe the oddity, which briefly vanished and then reappeared. "At this point, I realized it wasn't a joke and I got scared," the witness behind the camera later recalled. Seeing that the anomaly appeared to be moving closer to them, the unsettled duo hastily decided to resume their trip down the road with the orb eventually disappearing from view.
While in some places witnesses to such a strange event might consider it a UFO sighting, the folklore of Argentina offers a different interpretation. A longstanding legend in the country is that of the 'luz mala,' or simply 'bad light,' a sinister spirit that manifests as an orb. To that end, the duo's encounter with the curious anomaly is strikingly similar to countless previous tales of unfortunate travelers terrified by the mysterious illumination.
