Watch: Massachusetts Mail Carrier Menaced by Trio of Wild Turkeys

By Tim Binnall

An amusing piece of doorbell camera footage from a home in Massachusetts shows the moment when a mail carrier found himself forced to fend off a trio of wild turkeys that pursued him during his route. According to a local media report, the odd encounter occurred last Friday as Wayne White delivered to a residence in the community of Hyannis. Needing to leave a package at the doorstep of the home, he exited his truck and stepped right into some turkey trouble as three of the notoriously territorial birds were hot on his tail.

Commendably committed to fulfilling his duty as a postal worker, Wayne wearily made his way to the front of the residence while using the package to keep the birds at bay. However, after making the delivery, he found himself empty-handed and cornered by the troublesome turkeys. Realizing he had to "make a run for it,'" Wayne bellowed "go away" at the birds before sprinting back to the safety of his truck. That said, he indicated that the birds continued following his vehicle as he went along with his route until they finally gave up the chase.
