A curious video circulating online shows an odd orange UFO that was seen cruising through the sky near a US Army base that sits on the Tennessee-Kentucky border. The puzzling sighting occurred shortly after midnight on New Year's Day in the community of Clarksville and footage of the mystifying moment was subsequently posted to Reddit along with a witness account of the incident. According to the individual who shared the video, their father was outside "watching fireworks when he noticed a bright orange light flying relatively low and maintaining a steady, consistent speed."
Called outside to observe the anomaly, the witness mused that "initially, I thought it might be a hobbyist drone capturing footage of the fireworks for the New Year, but the apparent distance it was flying has made me second-guess that assumption." Intriguingly, they indicated that their father served in the Army for "nearly 30 years," which provided him with "extensive knowledge of the aircraft that fly over his house." That said, the witness marveled, even he was left scratching his head over the strange sight.
Given the hysteria surrounding drones throughout December, many viewers online have suggested that the mysterious object could have been a UAV of unknown origin. That said, others have argued that Fort Campbell Army base, located near the setting of the sighting, was likely connected to the UFO either as the source of the aerial oddity or perhaps it was purposely being observed by an aerial interloper.
