Watch: Odd Orb Filmed Over Hong Kong

By Tim Binnall

A man in Hong Kong was left scratching his head when he spotted a strange glowing orb in the sky that he initially thought was a star until it started moving. The weird scene was reportedly caught on film by witness Morris Chan last Thursday morning as he was heading home from his overnight job in the city commercial district of Wan Chai. Spotting the unusual object in the sky, he first suspected that it was simply a star and tried to identify the celestial object using an app on his phone. However, when it suddenly began descending from the sky, the bewildered observer began filming the peculiar sight.

In Chan's video, the glowing spherical object can be seen hovering near a high rise building before it starts slowly floating downward and occasionally disappearing from view. Eventually, the aerial anomaly dips behind a different building on the horizon and leaves the man behind the camera to wonder what exactly he had just seen. To that end, beyond some kind of alien craft, observers online have offered a variety of theories for the nature of the puzzling anomaly, including a high altitude balloon, a satellite, or perhaps a drone.
