A UFO researcher in Wyoming recently captured footage of an odd UFO that moved back and forth in the night sky before vanishing from sight. According to a local media report, the intriguing anomaly was filmed this past weekend near the community of Green River by Richard Beckwith, who serves as the city attorney for the neighboring Rock Springs as well as the state director for the Mutual UFO Network. The latter role is what led to him being called out to investigate a peculiar light that his friend had spotted early Sunday morning. Armed with a camera sporting a 400 mm zoom lens, Beckwith was able to film the curious orange illumination that oscillated in the sky for a staggering 40 minutes.
Observing that the anomaly was clearly "moving back and forth in a very steady rhythm," the researcher noted "that movement is definitely not camera shake" as his equipment was secured and steady by way of a tripod. "It was in the air," Beckwith recalled, "and even with my telephoto lens, the best I could get was a bright orange light." At one point during the mystifying event, as seen in the clip above, a smaller secondary light appears next to the object for a few seconds before disappearing. As for what the object could have been, Beckwith cautioned against jumping to conclusions, stressing that "all you know is it’s some kind of object in the sky that you can’t explain."
That said, the researcher plans on conducting an exhaustive investigation into the sighting by contacting various local authorities who might have some insights into what was in the sky that night as well as determining, by way of mathematical triangulation, where exactly the illumination was at the time of the incident. Until his endeavor yields some answers as to the nature of the object, Beckwith sagely mused, "it's 'unidentified,' That's all a UFO is. It's something that's 'unidentified.'"
