A peculiar piece of footage from an airshow in New York City shows the moment when a mysterious UFO zips through the sky during a performance by the famed Blue Angels. The strange scene was reportedly captured by an attendee at the annual Bethpage Air Show held on Long Island's Jones Beach over the holiday weekend. In the footage, seen above, the small object can be seen hurtling through the sky at an incredible speed. When the video is slowed down, the aerial anomaly appears to be circular-shaped and silvery in color. Intriguingly, a report filed to the National UFO Reporting Center describes a similar object seen by an attendee at the airshow who was seemingly not the same individual who captured the footage of the aerial anomaly.
According to this witness, they were watching the skies for anything weird during the festivities and noticed an unusual object at a height of "approximately 36,500 to 41,000 feet." Marveling that the small object was "going very fast for a craft that high," the reported noted that they observed the object move across the sky for about nine seconds before it made "an immediate and distinct 90-degree turn downward" and dropped around half its altitude in a mere seconds before it eventually disappeared. Considering the speed and size of the object seen in the footage, it would appear to be the same UFO described by the witness who filed the report. That said, what the oddity could have been remains a mystery.
