Authorities in Nevada are on the hunt for a pair of miscreants who were filmed brazenly vandalizing protected rock formations. According to a local media report, the distressing act of destruction occurred on the evening of April 7th at Lake Mead National Recreation Area and was filmed by an aghast witness, who subsequently turned the footage over to police. In the video, two men can be seen standing atop a rock formation and gleefully sending pieces of it tumbling to the ground. Meanwhile, behind the pair of perilously positioned troublemakers is a little girl who exclaims "Daddy, don't fall" as the vandals carry out their handiwork.
Administrators of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area are understandably upset of the duo's antics with public information officer John Haynes calling the vandalism "appalling" and musing that it "almost feels like a personal attack in a way." Mystified by the brazenly destructive behavior, he was left to wonder "why would you even do something like this, like why on Earth would you do this?" Thanks to the witness who bravely captured the shocking scene on film, authorities are hoping that the public can identify the two ne'er-do-wells so that they can be brought to justice for the vandalism of the protected rock formation.
