A paraglider flying over the famed Great Pyramid of Giza could not believe his eyes when he spotted a dog that had somehow found its way to the top of the ancient structure. The remarkable sighting was reportedly filmed this past Monday by Alex Lang as he cruised through the Egyptian skies. "It wasn't something I expected to see at all," he later said of the out-of-place pooch. "I just saw some movement, and when I looked closer, I realized it was a dog," he recalled, indicating that the animal was "barking and chasing birds from the very top of the pyramid."
Lang subsequently posted his footage of the strange sighting on social media, where it quickly went viral with many wondering how and why the dog wound up ascending to the summit of the sizeable structure. That said, perhaps the most pressing question posed by viewers was whether or not the animal made it back down the pyramid safely. Fortunately, it would appear that the dog's descent was a success as, a few days later, a tour guide at the site shared a photo of the pooch as it was making its way down the pyramid "like it was nothing."
