Watch: Parrot Breaks Guinness World Record For Identifying Objects

An African gray parrot named Apollo has achieved a new Guinness World Record by identifying an astonishing twelve objects within the space of three minutes. Fueled by the reward of a pistachio nut, he correctly named such objects as a book, a sock, and even the character name of an action figure from the Super Mario Bros.

The 4-year-old bird has a huge social media following on TikTok and YouTube and was trained by content creators Dalton and Victoria "Tori" Mason. They were inspired by the methods of animal psychologist Irene Pepperberg. Mason's mission is to "spread awareness of the natural intelligence found in animals."
