A strange piece of security camera footage from Mexico appears to show a Christmas decoration come to life in the middle of the night. According to a local media report, the spooky scene was captured late last month in the home of a woman who subsequently uploaded the odd video to TikTok. The puzzling presentation begins with a look at her decorations during the daytime, specifically a trio of sizeable holiday-themed dolls that stand next to the tree. The video then cuts to the home at around 3 AM when the security camera was seemingly triggered by the snowman figurine suddenly coming alive and slowly walking away from its companions.
Since being shared online, the woman's video has amassed a staggering 23 million views and spawned an array of theories for what occurred in her home that night. Some viewers marveled that her security system may have captured a bit of holiday magic or perhaps a paranormal event. Meanwhile, more skeptical observers suggested the video was merely a clever hoax or that the figurine may have been battery-operated. However, the woman debunked the latter explanation in a follow-up video wherein she showed that the snowman was simply a stuffed doll. What do you make of the confounding footage?
