A truck driver in New Jersey spotted a puzzling orb in the morning sky that left him so baffled that he stopped along the side of the highway to film the curious scene. The remarkable sighting reportedly occurred last week as Tavis Rivera was traveling on I-78 through the community of Watchung. The normally routine trip took a strange turn, the witness says, when he "noticed a strange pulsating extremely bright light." Rivera was so intrigued by the peculiar aerial anomaly that he "basically pulled over as soon as I could safely and recorded it."
In the endearing video, a mystified Rivera marvels at the odd orb, noting that there are "no marker lights on it," which he takes to mean that it is not an airplane. Watching the weird light in the sky above him, the truck driver also expresses certainty that the anomaly is not a celestial body, though he concedes that "I'm not an astronomer." Ultimately left with no answers, he muses about his UFO sighting that "I never thought I'd actually see one, I always see these online, but I never thought I'd actually see one."
As for what he witnessed, setting aside the possibility that it was some kind of alien craft, skeptical observers say that the anomaly was probably Venus, which is frequently mistaken for a fantastic visitor from out of this world. However, Rivera would likely disagree with that assessment, since he contends that the object was slightly moving back and forth in the sky. With that in mind, what do you think the truck driver captured on film that cold January morning in New Jersey? Share your theory with us at the C2C Facebook page.
