A Texas woman was left scratching her head when she spotted a mysterious four-legged creature roaming around her backyard and, as of yet, no one is quite sure what the animal might have been. According to a local media report, the puzzling sighting occurred this past Tuesday in the community of Hill Country Village near San Antonio. Looking out the window of her home, Tina Kahlig noticed an odd interloper that caused her to do a double-take. "I saw an animal," she later recalled, "and thought, 'wow, what is that?'" Understandably intrigued by the enigmatic creature, Kahlig managed to snap several pictures of the peculiar visitor before it eventually departed her backyard.
The stumped homeowner subsequently shared her photos online in the hopes that someone in her neighborhood might be able to identify the critter. The post sparked considerable discussion among people living in the community with many individuals offering their theories on what might have been in Kahlig's backyard. In a testament to the indecipherable nature of the creature seen in the photos, she observed that "some people think it's a cross between a coyote and a dog," while others have argued that it could be a mountain lion and some more imaginative individuals have suggested that it is a chupacabra. In a possible solution to the mystery, experts from the San Antonio Zoo have indicated that the creature is likely a dog or coyote stricken with a skin condition.
