A chilling video from Mexico shows the moment when a truck driver encountered an eerie figure that some suspect was a ghost child. According to a local media report, the spooky scene unfolded earlier this month along a remote road in the state of Chihuahua. In the dashcam footage, seen above, the truck comes upon a diminutive figure standing in the middle of the darkened highway at what is said to have been around 3 AM. The unexpected presence understandably startled the driver, who threw his vehicle into reverse as the small stranger ran towards him while unleashing a series of plaintive wails.
Since being posted online, the video has gone viral on Mexican social media with many noting that the encounter occurred in an area where other drivers have reported paranormal activity. As such, they posited that the diminutive figure could have been a ghost child. The footage also sparked a debate among viewers as some criticized the driver for not checking on the small stranger since it could have been a youngster in distress. That said, others argued that the driver was wise to flee the scene as the 'troubled tot' may have been a distraction on the part of miscreants waiting in the shadows and hoping to rob him should he have stopped to help the child.
