A puzzling video from Charlotte, North Carolina has shown to be surprisingly popular online as some suspect it captures a cluster of UFOs.
Chris Hulbert captured the strange scene outside of a hotel in the city after he noticed several unexplained lights hovering in the night sky.
In the nearly eight-minute video, Hulbert and another observer marvel at the flickering lights floating high in the air.
Considering that it is not a particularly compelling UFO video, compared to the myriad of amazing pieces of footage we've seen in recent years, the response to it has been rather remarkable.
After Hulbert uploaded it to YouTube, the video has amassed more than 450,000 views in just ten days.
Local media in North Carolina was also quick to pounce on the footage and gave it considerable coverage on area newscasts.
Interviewed by an NBC affiliate in Charlotte, frequent C2C guest and director of the National UFO Reporting Center, Peter Davenport, shared some interesting insights into this type of sighting.
He told WCNC that, in the last four-and-a-half years, his hotline has received an astounding "30- to 40,000 reports of sightings similar to what you saw over your city."
Such an enormous number during that specific time span may make one suspect that the objects in the video were possibly drones.
However, a drone expert told the station that the lack of red and green lights on the 'craft' indicate that they were not UAVs.
That said, he expressed certainty that the 'UFOs' were most likely lanterns that had been released from a wedding party somewhere in the city.
While we wait for an ambitious debunker to track down what wedding may have been behind the anomalous objects, watch the video and let us know what you think they are at the C2C Facebook page.
