A UFO researcher in Peru recently captured some intriguing footage of an anomalous object hovering in the sky over the iconic Nazca Lines. The strange scene was filmed by Rafal Mercado of the Peruvian Association of Ufology earlier this month and posted to his YouTube account. As described by him and seen in the video, an odd tubular object can be seen sitting stationary in the air for an extended period of time.
To his credit, Mercado simply wonders, in his description of the video, if the anomaly could be a "manifestation of a UFO" and leaves his viewers to make up their own mind. Those who believe that the legendary geoglyphs were the work of extraterrestrials who visited the planet in the distant past will likely see the strange video as evidence that, perhaps, the creators of the designs have come back to admire their handiwork.
Skeptics, on the other hand, will note that the ambiguous nature of the 'UFO' in the video leaves the door open for any number of possible prosaic explanations, such as a drone or a cloud. And since the object doesn't do anything other than linger in one location, it doesn't seem to be displaying any behavior indicative of something beyond what might be possible from something originating from here on Earth.
That said, the sighting follows a pair of UFO events over the Great Barrier Reef and the Great Wall of China late last year. With that in mind, one can't help but wonder and perhaps worry that, if these objects really are alien craft, they sure are doing a lot of sightseeing lately and maybe they know something about the future of the planet that we don't. In which case, let's hope this object really was a cloud and not ETs getting one last glimpse of our planet's wonders before it all goes up in smoke.
