A webcam watching over a runway at an airport in Mexico captured footage of a curious black anomaly zipping through the sky and some suspect that the aerial oddity was alien in nature. The virtual sighting reportedly occurred this past Friday morning at the Mexico City International Airport and was subsequently shared online by a Twitter account which highlights unusual moments that occur on livestreams throughout the country. In the footage, the seemingly oval-shaped object can be seen swooping down from the sky and then exiting the scene at what appears to be an incredible rate of speed.
No doubt due to the UFO phenomenon's prominent place in the zeitgeist at the moment, the puzzling scene was picked up by multiple Mexican media outlets which wondered what the weird flying object could have been. To that end, some observers suggested that the anomaly could have been some kind of alien craft passing over the airport. That said, more skeptical viewers have put forward a more down-to-earth explanation and argue that the 'UFO' is merely an insect that looked otherworldly because it flew close to the camera.
