A webcam watching over Mexico City filmed a particularly weird UFO that soared back and forth across the sky. According to a local media report, the strange scene was captured early Wednesday morning from the 41st floor of the Latin Tower in the country's capital city. The footage was subsequently shared online by a social media account that chronicles strange events spotted by webcams throughout Mexico. In the footage (seen above and isolated below), a puzzling cloud-like formation zips through the sky from left to right and, seconds later, makes a similar trip in the opposite direction.
As one might imagine, the sheer strangeness of the curious flying anomaly sparked considerable discussion on social media after it was posted online. Some viewers posited that the wispy UFO was alien in nature while others likened the puzzling form to the Aztec deity Quetzalcóatl. That said, more skeptical observers argued that the cloud-like curiosity was meteorological in nature or, failing that, simply a bug that appeared otherworldly by being particularly close to the webcam.
