While watching a webcam in the hopes of seeing the Perseid Meteor Shower, a night shift worker in Wyoming spotted a weird glowing object streak across the sky. The puzzling sighting reportedly occurred last weekend as the unnamed witness was tuned in to a live stream that overlooks the Grand Tetons. As she and her co-worker were wondering if they'd see any meteors, they became bewildered by a mysterious light that suddenly appeared on the screen.
For around three-and-a-half minutes (sped up in the video above), the light flew from one side of the screen to the other, seemingly accelerating at around the halfway point. Fortunately, the witness was able to capture the video and subsequently sent it to a Jackson Hole news outlet, telling them that "it would totally be a plane in my mind if there weren’t a weird, bright flash in the end." According to the witness, she even went so far as to check to see if there were any flights passing through at the time, but found no indication of that.
As for what the bright anomaly could have been, aside from aliens, the possibility that it was a meteor has largely been ruled out due to the object's slow speed. Another theory is that the 'UFO' was a fighter jet, but some have questioned that hypothesis since it seems unlikely that one would be flying around at nearly 4 AM when the sighting occurred. Perhaps the best 'suspect' put forward so far is that the mysterious object was a drone. What's your theory for what was spotted on the Wyoming webcam? Let us know at the C2C Facebook page.
